Vera Day

Vera Day was one of Britain's brightest film stars of the 1950s. 'The Pocket Venus' worked with everyone from Laurence Olivier to Sid James. She screamed at Boris Karloff in 'The Grip of the Strangler', chalked up four credits with Hammer Films and up-staged Marilyn Monroe in 'The Prince and the Showgirl'.

After a successful cabaret career and time spent raising a family Vera returned to the silver screen in Guy Ritchie's 'Lock, Stock and Two-Smoking Barrels'.

In the coming weeks a selection of rare and unpublished photographs from Vera's personal archive will be made available. Vera will happily dedicate each autograph.
